Areas of application

The gas-bearing and oil-free radial turbo compressor is suitable for use in air-conditioning refrigeration systems/heat pumps with temperature strokes of 15-40 K. The cooling capacity of a compressor can be adjusted by speed variation in a range of about 20-100 kW. A self-supporting gas bearing is used to support the rotating components. The gas bearing allows the compressor and thus the refrigerant circuit to be operated completely oil-free. The turbo compressor can be operated with the refrigerants R134a, R1234ze and R513a.
